ichael Schmitt is Counsel with the firm, practicing in labor and employment, and commercial and civil litigation. Mike has represented clients in defamation, premises liability, collections and contract cases. He has also been successful in appeals to the Missouri Court of Appeals and the Eighth Circuit. In addition, Mike has assisted clients in obtaining work visas for prospective alien employees with specialized training. Mike has also participated in numerous employment proceedings within the Missouri and Illinois State administrative systems. He has represented a large number of clients from large publicly-held companies to small businesses. Mike currently represents clients in discrimination, commercial, union contract and construction cases. Prior to becoming an attorney, Mike worked for ten years in the television news industry, from which he often draws on his experience.
